Our client, a leader in the defence sector, is currently seeking a Senior Procurement Professional to join the Maritime Naval Ships team in Scotstoun. This is a contract role, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical procurement activities within the maritime domain.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing contract management to ensure compliance with terms and conditions
Managing supplier performance and fostering strong relationships
Controlling stock demand and managing inventory operations
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement processes
Handling cost management and processing invoices accurately and efficiently
Implementing procurement strategies that align with the project objectives
Providing procurement input for operational planning and execution

Job Requirements:

Experience in procurement, ideally within the defence sector
Strong knowledge of contract management and supplier performance
Understanding of stock demand and control processes
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Ability to handle cost and invoice management efficiently
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communicator with strong organisational abilities
BPSS clearance or willingness to obtain it
