Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Maths and English Tutor to support a young learner transitioning into Year 10 in the Havant area. This role is for 6 hours per week, focusing on Functional Skills Maths and English, with the aim of building both academic ability and personal confidence.

As a Tutor you will:

Deliver engaging and practical lessons tailored to the learner's needs.
Support the development of core Maths and English skills aligned with Functional Skills standards.
Instil confidence, motivation, and a positive attitude towards learning.
Create a safe, patient, and encouraging learning environment.
Monitor progress and adapt lesson plans accordingly.About you:

Experience tutoring or teaching Maths and English (Functional Skills or KS3/KS4 level).
Ability to design creative and learner-focused lesson plans.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A nurturing, patient, and positive approach to education.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).Position - Tutor

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL

Trauma-informed and skilled in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies- Desirable

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
