Accounts Assistant - Permanent & Part Time - Hybrid in London - £28,000-£31,000 P/A (Pro Rata)

Cedar Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a non-profit membership body who are committed to delivering climate change, by increasing sustainable energy, working in partnerships with organisations such as government bodies and educational institutes.

The role will be working as a Accounts Assistant and will be supporting on the day to day finance operations.

The salary of offer is £28,000-£31,000(Pro Rata) working part time on a permanent basis, and will involve going into the office in London 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately code and process invoices in line with company policies and procedures
  • Input financial data into the accounting system with a high degree of accuracy
  • Maintain and update purchase and sales ledgers
  • Review and process employee expense claims
  • Raise invoices and manage debtor accounts, including chasing outstanding payments
  • Reconcile bank statements and control accounts, resolving discrepancies
  • Communicate with external parties to resolve financial queries
  • Prepare and set up payment runs
  • Assist with the monthly management accounts process
  • Support the year-end audit
  • Manage shared finance inboxes
  • Provide general administrative support to the Senior Finance and Operations Manager
  • Assist in maintaining an organised and efficient office environment
  • Support adhoc finance and operational requests as required
Essential Experience
  • Proven experience in a similar finance or accounts role
  • AAT qualification or studying towards
  • Experience using accounting software (knowledge of Xero is highly advantageous)
  • Excellent data entry skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
