Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £70000/annum

Building Services Manager needed for the co-ordination and management of M&E installations from design through to project completion of various projects across London.
Main Duties:
* Assist with the preparation and on-going control of prelim budgets and ensure that costs are controlled in line with budgets/orders
* Carry out site audits/QA and ensure that the HMS is followed at all times
* Correspond with client and/or consultants including the receipt and review of variations, drawings etc. for distribution
* Prepare O&M manual and CDM information and Ensure that all aspects of the code for sustainable homes are complied with
* Ensure that all environmental aspects including SWMP are completed and that all aspects of the Considerate Constructors scheme are complied with
* Ensure that all items on the Handover checklist are complete prior to PC
* Ensure that the HAPPI document is adhered to
* Assist the After Sales department in the completion of defect, assist the Construction Team in monitoring and reviewing Building Services Installation on Contracts (including site visits) against specification and design requirements
* Evaluate M&E progress against programmes
* Review M&E trade packages in line with design information and Employer Requirements prior to enquiry - including liaising with Building Services Co-ordinator
* Assist in reviewing subcontractor submissions prior to appointments, assist Contract Surveyors in monitoring and progressing for valuing internal and external valuations
* Carry out progress meetings with M&E contractor and liaise with external agencies such as Building Control, Fire Brigade and other statutory authorities
* Set up procedures for snagging and commissioning installations prior to practical completion
* Co-ordinate information for the production of Operation & Maintenance Manuals
* Develop Checklist and Risk Registers as appropriate and monitoring thereafter, assist in updating internal Q&A Procedures to improve performance
Person Specifications:
* Recognised building services qualifications
* M & E installation experience
* Project Management experience
* Held position of Site Manager
* Knowledge of renewable energy technologies
* Good communication skills
* Valid CSCS Card and First Aid certificate, driving licence
* IT literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook
* Ability to lead a team
* Ideally ability to train others
* Stay abreast of M & E innovation
* Understanding Code for Sustainable Homes
