Individual Needs Assistant Needed - Crawley

At Engage, we know that a school runs on quality support staff. We’ve spent over a decade building strong relationships with schools in West Sussex, and we’re now looking to recruit for one of our lovely SEND schools in Crawley.

We are looking for a passionate individual who has experience with SEND, particularly Autism or other complex needs.

This school caters for pupils aged 5 – 18 with a wide range of SEND needs, including PMLD, SLD, ASD, ADHD and GDD. It caters for students across both primary and secondary phases. Their aim is that students are engaged and challenged to achieve their goals and make valuable contributions to their communities.

About you:

• Be patient, adaptable and resilient
• Experienced working with SEND; Autism, or be passionate about learning how to do so
• Understanding of Non-verbal and Speech and Language difficulties
• Willingness to learn
• Be reliable
• Be passionate about supporting children with SEND, or Children in general
• Be proactive
• Can previously be a Support Worker / Carer
• Personal experience with SEND / Challenging behaviour
