Learning Support Assistant (SEN) Location: Secondary School - Havering Contract: Full-time / Term-time only Start Date: ASAPAbout the Role We are seeking a committed, patient and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive secondary school team in Havering. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEN.Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual needs.Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and external professionals.Support students' social, emotional and academic development.Help maintain a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.Record and report progress, concerns and achievements as required.Person SpecificationExperience supporting children or young people with SEN (school-based or equivalent).Understanding of a range of needs such as autism, ADHD, speech & language, SEMH or learning difficulties.Calm, empathetic and flexible approach.Strong communication and teamwork skills.A passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed.GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths required; additional SEN training is desirable.
