A growing, acquisitive UK group is looking to appoint a Group Financial Controller to work directly alongside the CFO during an exciting period of development.
Having expanded significantly through acquisition, the business is now focused on aligning financial reporting, strengthening governance and building scalable finance processes across multiple operating companies.
This is a high visibility role within the group finance leadership team, offering the opportunity to shape how finance operates across a complex and growing organisation.

Using your strong technical and controllership knowledge & experience you will play a key part in bringing structure, consistency and best practice across a multi-entity group, while working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Help shape and strengthen the group finance function* Lead the development of consistent reporting frameworks across multiple businesses* Support the integration of newly acquired companies* Drive improvements in systems, processes and financial controls* Work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation* Mentor and develop members of the finance team
Key responsibilities
- Lead the group month-end and year-end close processes* Oversee statutory reporting across multiple legal entities* Manage the external audit process and relationships with advisors* Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and group policies* Maintain strong balance sheet control across the organisation* Support tax reporting and compliance* Drive improvements in finance systems, reporting and processes* Support the financial integration of acquisitions
About you
You will be a qualified accountant with strong technical capability and experience operating in a multi-entity or group environment.
You have a passion for improving processes, building structure and working collaboratively with finance teams across a growing organisation.
You will likely bring:
- Experience in group financial control or group reporting* Exposure to complex or acquisitive organisations* Strong understanding of financial reporting, audit and governance* A hands-on but strategic mindset
