SEND Teaching Assistant - Orpington

Contract: Ongoing, Full-Time (5 Days per Week)
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm
Daily Rate: £90 - £100 per day

This specialist setting supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Physical Disabilities, and Complex Needs. This is a highly rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with SEND to achieve their full potential.

Please note: the class is made up predominantly of male students, some of whom require personal care, so applicants must be comfortable and confident supporting with these needs in a professional and respectful manner.

The Role

Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings

Working closely with male students who may require personal care, including toilet support

*

Supporting access to learning and encouraging independence and engagement

*

Delivering support with dignity, empathy, and professionalism

*

Promoting student wellbeing and maintaining a strong focus on safeguarding

*

Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team

The Ideal Candidate

Has experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable but not essential)

*

Is confident and comfortable supporting students with personal care needs

*

Builds strong, positive relationships with students

*

Is patient, resilient, and nurturing

*

Has a genuine commitment to inclusive education

*

Is available to work full-time, 5 days per week
