A vacancy has arisen for an Experienced Supervising Social Worker to join the Fostering Team with a Good Ofsted local authority in the South.

In the role of Supervising Social Worker you will ensure that the fostering team delivers a high quality service to Foster Carers. You will provide support, supervision and training for foster carers to provide a safe and secure environment for the children and young people of the area.

What you'll do:

Provide high-quality supervision and support to foster carers

Undertake regular visits and assessments to ensure safe, stable placements

Contribute to foster carer recruitment, training, and retention

Work collaboratively with children's social workers, schools, and health professionals

Keep comprehensive and timely records in line with statutory requirements

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent) and registered with Social Work England

Experience in fostering, children's social care, or related services

Strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills

A reflective practitioner who values teamwork and continuous improvement

Flexibility to travel for visits and to work occasional evenings/weekends as needed

Benefits:

£40,476 - £44,710 per annum and excellent pension scheme

25 days annual leave (pro rata), plus bank holidays.
