This role involves teaching compelling lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a strong emphasis on social, cultural, and economic history, including themes of migration, class, gender, and daily life through the ages. You will encourage students to connect with the human stories behind historical events, fostering empathy and understanding for different societies and individuals. We are looking for someone who can:

* Bring creativity and human interest to the History curriculum, designing projects that allow students to explore daily life, social structures, and cultural changes.

* Utilise diverse types of historical sources including oral histories, personal accounts, visual records, and demographic data.

* Motivate and challenge students of all abilities to consider the impact of historical events on individuals and communities.

* Collaborate effectively with colleagues in Humanities and across the school to explore interdisciplinary themes related to human experience.

* Facilitate discussions that encourage students to reflect on historical injustices and the evolution of human rights.
