Willowmere Care Centre is a specialist care home in Barnet, North London supporting adults with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions. The home offers 119 purpose designed bedrooms and delivers clinically led care within a structured, supportive environment focused on dignity, stability and wellbeing.

Maintenance Manager

  • 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract

Role Overview
As Maintenance Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe, effective and compliant maintenance of the care home, ensuring the environment remains secure, fully operational and supportive for residents with complex health needs.

You will carry out a range of maintenance tasks including general repairs, planned maintenance and regular inspections of the building, equipment and safety systems. You will identify issues proactively and ensure they are resolved promptly, maintaining high standards across all areas of the home.

Working within a clinical care environment, you will support compliance with health and safety, fire safety and regulatory requirements. You will monitor and test safety systems, manage maintenance records and liaise with external contractors to coordinate repairs and ongoing works.

You will also maintain external areas of the home, ensuring outdoor spaces are safe, clean and well presented. Through your work, you will help create a safe, comfortable and well maintained environment that supports residents' wellbeing and day to day living.

What We Are Looking For

  •  Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or building management
  •  Practical skills across general repairs and building maintenance
  •  Good understanding of health and safety requirements
  •  Ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues effectively
  •  Reliable, organised and able to work independently
