Job Description

Sales and Key Account Manager

The primary role of the Account Manager will be to manage existing key accounts and build new customer relationships with national and larger regional mass merchant, discount and department stores and wholesale clubs. The role will report to the Vice President.

Job Duties
- Present new design concepts, ideas and prototypes to buyers

- Partner closely with buyers to identify new opportunities/items for exclusive, private label or branded development

- Communicate potential opportunities to internal product development/design teams
- Create quarterly sales reports to review performance at key accounts 
- Negotiate new programs with key accounts and review potential deals with senior management
- Coordinate with senior management on all key account quotes and provide pricing to all customers in a timely manner
- Travel to key account meetings regularly for meetings with buyers
- Work with designers and create presentations for sales reps and key account meetings
- Visit retail stores to understand competitive products, price points, positioning, and understand emerging trends
- Provide a strong level of customer service

Key Requirements/Attributes

- Must enjoy traveling to customer meetings throughout the US

- Must love presenting to panels of prospects

- Minimum of 5 years of experience buying or selling wholesale in the gift or home industry
- Ability to multi-task and achieve results in a fast paced organization
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Hands-on and customer service oriented

- Willing to roll-up sleeves and handle occasional sales admin
- High degree of computer proficiency including MS Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point
- Ability to work in a smaller, team-focused group of employees with diverse backgrounds
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field
