We're seeking a specialist SEN Teacher for a Year 9 class of learners working at a Year 7/8 level. Starting this September, you'll follow a primary teaching model-covering Maths, English, PSHE and Humanities-in a full-time, small-class environment. The role will run for one term initially with a strong likelihood of becoming long-term or permanent.
Key Duties:
Plan and teach creative, accessible lessons to meet diverse learning needs
Build trusting, supportive relationships with pupils facing emotional and behavioural challenges
Foster consistency, positive behaviour, and re-engagement with learning
Track and evaluate pupil progress across curriculum and personal goals
Liaise with colleagues and specialists to ensure tailored support
Requirements:
QTS/QTLS and experience in SEN or SEMH education
Ability to deliver a cross-curricular primary model to older learners
Excellent interpersonal skills, patience and adaptability
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
