We are currently looking for a Deputy Support Manager to join our friendly team in Somerset. As the Deputy Support Manager you will be supporting our adults and young adults to live their lives to their full potential. Your role as Deputy Support Manager will based cross our Outreach and Supported Living locations in East and West Mendip, Somerset. Our next Deputy Support Manager must have a strong background in a senior support worker role. This role will be crucial in ensuring we can continue our goal of making a difference everyday to those that we support.

Driving licence and own transport are essential

The role is for 22.5 hours per week (can be split across 3-5 days) and may include, on occasion, some evenings and weekends. This role will be mostly based at our Wells office. You should be willing to take part in the Local On-Call rota as required.

If you choose, there is the option to increase your contract to a full time position (37.5 hours per week) these hours will be made up from 2 support worker shifts per week.

Your role will involve:

Assisting the Support Manager in the day to day delivery of high-quality, safe and person - centred support
Assist with the preparation of risk assessments, support plans, health plans and person - centred support
Building and maintain excellent working relationships with professionals, referrers and stakeholders, including, but not exclusive to commissioners, families, carers, staff, neighbours and the wider community
Assist the Support Manager to improve the support people receive, identifying meaningful opportunities for involvement of people we support in shaping their life, their home and inputting into the organisation
Lead by example and provide hands on support to people we support when required
Deputise for the Support Manager in their absence
