We are currently recruiting for an experienced and committed Pharmacy Assistant to join our fantastic team of staff in our Pharmacy Department.

This is a bank role working on an "as and when required" basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

* Preferably holds an (S)NVQ Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Services.
* Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems
* Experience in ordering and dispensing medicines.
* Good organisational and planning skills.
* Able to plan and organise straightforward tasks and programmes.
* Attention to detail, ensuring accurate recording of data.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Good customer service skills.
* Previous experience in a hospital environment desirable

Duties of this role include:

* To support the delivery of an excellent clinical, operational and governance based medicine management service.
* Stock management of medicines within the hospital.
* Provide a dispensing service for medicines that may be required.
* To procure & receipt medicines for the hospital.
* Ensure accurate and timely charging.
* Be a proactive member of the Hospital's pharmacy team.
* Commitment to ensuring quality services are delivered to both internal & external stakeholders through continuous improvement activities.
