We are seeking a Senior Learning Support Assistant with significant SEN experience to join our team at a college in Twickenham. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong background as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with responsibilities related to special educational needs (SEN).
Day-to-day of the role: - Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of each student.
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to education and development.
- Monitor and report on the progress of students, identifying any additional needs and adjusting support as necessary.
- Participate in training and development sessions to stay updated with the latest educational practices and standards for SEN.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Extensive experience as a Teaching Assistant, with specific responsibilities in SEN.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
- Ability to work flexibly across different settings and adapt to varying educational needs.
