£25,514 - £26,034 plus benefits
This role includes you supporting children and young persons who have emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You will be required to work 5:2 pattern, which is you work 5 shifts on week and 2 the following week, then followed by sleep in's as and when required.
Requirements for the role -
* Must be 21 years of age or over (client has claimed an exemption under the equality act 2010)
* Hold a full, valid manual driving licence, with access to their own vehicle
* Must hold a Level 3 Children Young people's workforce qualification or equivalent

About the role briefly -
* To be responsible to the Home Manager as a member of the staff team for the direct day to day care of the children and young people and other support tasks and duties
* Ensure that each young person has a plan which reflects his/her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, and therapeutic and health needs.
* To ensure that the placement plan is regularly reviewed.
* Allocate a Key Worker for each young person with the principal responsibility of implementing the childcare plan.
* Establish and monitor high quality standards of care in line with the Quality Standards for
* Children's Homes 2015 and the home's Statement of Purpose. Develop quality assurance measures to ensure these standards are maintained.
* Maintain monitoring systems in which the young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive.
* To work in partnership with parents, carers and other professional to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.
* Attend and contribute to childcare planning and review meetings as appropriate.
* To adhere to your duty of care and ensure safeguarding/ child protection concerns are reported to your line manager and responded to accordingly.
