Axon Moore are proud to be working alongside a firmly established business in their search for an ambitious Part Qualified Financial Accountant seeking long-term growth and progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Support the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations, journals, intercompany eliminations, and Group consolidation.
Ensure the integrity of financial data underlying Group performance reports.
Collaborate with the FP&A function to provide accurate inputs and technical insights.
Act as a key point of contact for external auditors during the year-end audit process.
Support in the audit preparation process, including the preparation of schedules, supporting documentation, and audit query resolution.
Prepare and submit VAT returns across the Group.
Manage the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
Monitor capital expenditure projects, reporting on budget adherence and approvals.
Support adherence to the control framework by monitoring policy compliance and raising areas of risk.
Maintain and update the financial risk register in collaboration with the FC.
Support short-term cashflow forecasting with insight on working capital movements.
Maintain oversight of cash balances, intercompany loan positions, and treasury reporting processes.
Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, or enhance controllership processes and reporting tools.
Support finance transformation initiatives such as ledger consolidation, policy rollouts, and systems upgrades.
Required Skills and Experience:

At least two years' experience in a similar role
AAT Qualified or ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified
Strong Excel and IT skills

Enthusiastic team player with a positive, hard-working approach
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles
