Automation Engineer | £50,000 - £60,000 | Bedford

Our client is currently seeking a talented and experienced Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a multi-skilled professional with a strong background in PLC and HMI control systems, particularly with Siemens S7 and/or Rockwell ControlLogix platforms.

The ideal candidate will be capable of designing electrical circuits and managing the full lifecycle of automation projects, from PLC commissioning through to final installation at customer sites. Our client is a recognised industry leader, renowned for delivering innovative and effective sealing solutions to some of the world's most prominent brands.

The Role:

* Design and develop electrical systems and software for bespoke machinery.

* Conduct design studies and reviews, preparing detailed specifications for special applications.

* Compile and complete Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documentation and all related 'as-built' electrical drawings.

* Provide support in resolving engineering queries and addressing manufacturing quality issues as needed.

Key Skills and Experience:

* Proven experience in designing electrical control systems for special-purpose machinery.

* Skilled in compiling Bills of Materials (BOMs) and performing MRP system uploads.

* Strong understanding of machine safety equipment and relevant safety standards.

* Hands-on experience with PLC programming, particularly using Siemens and Allen-Bradley (AB) platforms
