About the Role

As a Behaviour & Learning Mentor, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students with:

• Emotional wellbeing
• Behaviour and self-regulation
• Academic engagement and confidence

You’ll work closely with teachers, the SENCo, and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support that helps students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs
• Assist with behaviour and learning support plans
• Encourage resilience, focus, and emotional regulation
• Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Collaborate with staff and parents to support student progress

What We’re Looking For

• Currently studying (or working towards) a degree in Psychology or a related field
• A genuine passion for mental health, education, and child development
• Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability
• Experience with young people is desirable, but not essential (full training provided)

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Two recent professional references (Study or employment)
• Up-to-date CV
• Safeguarding training (we provide this)
