About the Role
As a Behaviour & Learning Mentor, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students with:
- Emotional wellbeing
- Behaviour and self-regulation
- Academic engagement and confidence
You’ll work closely with teachers, the SENCo, and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support that helps students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs
- Assist with behaviour and learning support plans
- Encourage resilience, focus, and emotional regulation
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Collaborate with staff and parents to support student progress

What We’re Looking For
- Currently studying (or working towards) a degree in Psychology or a related field
- A genuine passion for mental health, education, and child development
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability
- Experience with young people is desirable, but not essential (full training provided)
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Two recent professional references (Study or employment)
- Up-to-date CV
- Safeguarding training (we provide this)
