Reed Education is working with a high-performing secondary school in the Sevenoaks / Tunbridge Wells area to recruit a motivated and innovative Humanities Teacher to join their dedicated department from September 2026.

This role will be primarily based at the Sevenoaks site, with some teaching and departmental commitments at the Tunbridge Wells campus. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Geography, History and Religious Education at Key Stage 3, with the ability to teach at least one of these subjects to GCSE and A Level preferred.

The Humanities department is well-established, popular across all year groups and consistently achieves excellent results at both GCSE and A Level. Creative approaches to teaching, enrichment and out-of-class experiences, such as trips and themed learning activities, are strongly encouraged. The team is collaborative, experienced and welcoming, making this an excellent environment for both seasoned teachers and ECTs.

What We’re Looking For

• QTS is essential
• Ability to teach Geography, History and RE at KS3
• Confidence teaching at least one Humanities subject to GCSE/A Level (preferred)
• Strong track record of securing positive student outcomes
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate students and peers
• Passion for making a positive impact on young people’s education
