Our Yorkshire-based client is currently seeking an experienced Interim Internal Audit Manager to join their team, providing maternity cover within the internal audit function. This is a critical role focused on delivering conduct and operational audits across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver end-to-end audits, from planning through to fieldwork and reporting.
- Evaluate key customer-facing and operational processes and controls.
- Ensure audits are aligned with relevant FCA regulatory frameworks, including CONC, DISP, SYSC, and the Consumer Duty requirements.
- Provide clear, concise reporting and recommendations to senior management.
- Influence and engage with key stakeholders across the business to drive improvements in governance, risk management, and controls.
About You:
- Professionally qualified (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in conduct and operational audits, ideally within financial services or a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant FCA regulations and an appreciation of conduct risk.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
- Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a hybrid working environment.
