We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team and help maintain the beauty and tranquility of our cemetery grounds.

The Candidate:

• Groundskeeping: Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and pruning trees to maintain the cemetery's aesthetic appeal.
• Grave Maintenance: Preparing gravesites for burials and performing necessary landscaping around the plots.
• General Maintenance: Upkeeping pathways, removing litter, and ensuring that all public areas are clean and safe for visitors.
• Seasonal Tasks: Managing seasonal activities such as leaf clearing, snow removal, and planting flowers.
• Equipment Handling: Safely operating and maintaining grounds maintenance equipment and tools.

The Role:

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a similar role.
• Knowledge of gardening techniques and the use of maintenance equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A respectful and sensitive approach to working in a cemetery environment.
