SALARY: £40000 - £50000/annum

Advanced Recruit - Construction are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of their client in the building services sector.

This is an opportunity to join a successful and expanding Company, specialising in refurbishment and maintenance contracts within the Commercial/Education/Healthcare/Defence and Justice sectors. Primarily within the West and East Midlands regions, you will be required to work as part of a customer focused team, reporting in to the Commercial Director.

You will be involved in all aspects of the commercial function, including work winning and responsibility for the commercial performance and onsite delivery of a mixed portfolio of projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare of schedules of work and bills of quantities, demonstrating the ability to collate measurement from drawings and through on-site surveys

• Prepare and submit quotations

• Procurement of key materials and key subcontract packages

• Prepare external and internal valuations

• Maintain commercial records

• Change management and variation analysis

• Manage sub-contract labour and materials accounts, invoices and payments

• Prepare and issue commercial correspondence to include cost reports, early warning notices and the like

• Monthly cost value analysis and work in progress summaries

• Contract compliance

• Liaising with clients, senior management and the delivery team

• Support senior management maintain KPI targets

• Health and Safety matters in line with legislation relevant to the position

Knowledge and Skillsets:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or working towards the qualification. CIOB / RICS

• Familiar with Schedule of Rates - PSA, NSR and NHF

• Reasonable knowledge of construction techniques

• Computer literate and advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite/Project

• Team orientated

• Good communication, problem solving and negotiating skills

• Confident to identify efficiencies and introduce new ways of working

• Be self-motivated with the ability to lead, develop, manage and motivate.

• Full Driving licence.
