We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to work with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role requires a compassionate individual who has previous experience in a school setting, ready to make a significant impact in the lives of students.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support SEMH students in their daily school activities, ensuring they engage positively with their learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Assist in the development of social skills and emotional resilience of the students through guided interaction and activities.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
  • Facilitate a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a school environment, particularly with SEMH students.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by SEMH students and effective strategies to aid their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
