We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and qualified Nursery Room Leader to join our dedicated team. As a Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a designated room within the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education, and safeguarding for children aged 0-5 years. You will lead by example, supporting your team in delivering a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the daily operations of your designated nursery room in line with EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding requirements.

Supervise, mentor, and support nursery practitioners, promoting teamwork and professional development.

*

Plan, implement, and evaluate a rich curriculum of activities tailored to meet children's developmental needs and interests.

*

Maintain accurate records of children's learning journeys, observations, and assessments.

*

Establish positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.

*

Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging environment for all children at all times.

*

Monitor and support the wellbeing, behaviour, and development of children in your care.

*

Contribute to inspections, audits, and continuous improvement of the setting.

Attend and contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.

Qualifications & Experience:

Level 3 (or higher) Early Years Education and Childcare qualification (e.g. NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent) - essential

*

Proven experience working in an early years setting, including supervisory or leadership experience - essential

*

In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

*

Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, and child protection procedures

*

Paediatric First Aid Certificate - desirable

*

Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
