We’re looking for someone with experience in electronic assembly and soldering to IPC Class 3 standards, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in doing things right the first time.

Soldering Technician - Key Responsibilities:

• Solder SMT and PTH components, wires, and thermal planes using various equipment
• Follow detailed assembly instructions and build standards
• Perform hand cleaning, fit mechanical fixings, and maintain a clean, safe work area
• Complete traceability paperwork including batch records, build reports, and logs
• Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to identify and correct errors
• Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements
• Maintain tools and equipment such as microscopes and soldering irons
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and ESD requirements
• Work flexibly to help meet weekly production targets

Person Specification - Soldering Technician:

• Minimum 12 months’ experience soldering electronic PCBs
• IPC 610 or J-STD certification (current)
• Skilled in SMT rework, multi-layer/PTH hand soldering, and wire modifications
• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Able to work efficiently with high accuracy and throughput
• Professional attitude and strong communication skills
• A team player who can also work independently and take initiative
