Day-to-day of the role:

  • Work collaboratively across various departments to ensure the safety of staff, partners, and the public.
  • Lead and advocate for cultural change in health and safety practices across the organisation.
  • Utilise digital tools to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Support the organisation's transformation and continuous improvement in health and safety measures.
  • Act as a deputy for the Strategic Health & Safety and Risk Manager, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Play a key role in emergency planning and enhancing organisational resilience.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Chartered Member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health).
  • Proven experience in managing change and maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Strong background in developing health and safety policies and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including availability for some out-of-hours work.
  • Desirable: Experience in risk management, emergency planning, or business continuity.
