SEN Teaching Assistant - Full Time - Garstang

Start Date: After the Easter Half Term - Monday 13th April
Pay: From £14.30 per hour
Location: Garstang
Contract: Full-time, ongoing

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and supportive school in the Garstang area who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter break.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in SEN support — or someone looking to start their career in education with the right training and guidance.

The Role

Providing 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
Assisting the class teacher in creating inclusive, engaging learning environments
Supporting children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
Helping to implement personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies
Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

What We're Looking For

Experience working with children or young people (school‑based or otherwise)
A patient, caring and resilient attitude
Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting SEN pupils
Reliability and a willingness to contribute positively to the school community

Training & Development

Teaching Personnel can provide access to a fully accredited Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification, enabling you to develop your skills and progress in your career.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
