£45,000 – £55,000 per annum (potentially negotiable DOE)

3 Point Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a long-standing, highly respected SME with deep roots across the Midlands as they look to appoint a hands on Finance Manager. This is a key hire for the business, and they’re keen to move quickly for the right person!

This role will suit someone who thrives in a varied “roll your sleeves up” environment. You’ll take ownership of the full management accounts process, providing clear commentary and insight directly to the Managing Director, while also being happy to support the wider finance function when needed. Whether it’s stepping in to help with Invoicing or providing occasional cover for Credit Control, this is a genuinely collaborative team where everyone pulls together!

Duties Will Include

  • Maintain accurate cash books and perform regular balance sheet reconciliations across key control accounts
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure accuracy and timely payments
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and maintain reconciliation of the VAT control account
  • Manage and process the company payroll, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements and accurate reporting of PAYE and National Insurance
  • Administer workplace pension arrangements including contributions, submissions and reconciliations
  • Reconcile payroll related control accounts including wages, PAYE/NI, and pension balances
  • Support HR administration from a finance perspective, including setting up new starters and processing final payments for leavers
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations including Companies House filings and the annual confirmation statement

About You

  • Previous experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Finance role
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, VAT and HMRC compliance
  • Experience managing balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
  • Comfortable working with external accountants and statutory reporting
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a hands on finance role
