HGV Class 1 Driver - Trunking / Changeover - Night Shift - Falkirk

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver - Trunking / Changeover - Night Shift to join our well-established client based in Falkirk. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for long-term progression, including temp-to-perm opportunities.

This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for consistent night trunking and trailer changeover work.

Shifts

• Night shifts
• Start times between 18:00 - 22:00

Rates of Pay

• £18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Completing depot-to-depot trunking routes
• Carrying out trailer swaps and trunk changeovers
• Operating Category C+E (Class 1) vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
• Adhering to UK traffic laws, company procedures and delivery schedules
• Communicating effectively with the transport office

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
• A minimum of 1 year Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
• A valid Driver CPC qualification
• A valid Digital Tachograph card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• Good spoken and written English
• A reliable and professional approach

Desirable Experience

• Previous Class 1 trunking experience
• Experience completing trailer swaps or changeover work

Training Provided

• Driver assessment required prior to starting (this takes place at the start of your first shift)
• Industry-related training and ongoing support
