HR Manager - Bridgwater - £40k
My client, a successful, market leading manufacturer, is looking to recruit a HR Manager / Human Resource Manager for their site in Bridgwater.
The successful HR manager will be managing a small HR team and report into the Group HR Director. You will be offering generalist human resource advice to this manufacturing site with the main purpose of the role being to deliver a proactive and flexible HR service, providing relevant and appropriate support to all employees,
Main responsibilities will include:
·Continually strive for efficiency, whilst improving delivery of Human resource services to Line Managers and all employees
·Supporting Managers in all matters relating to HR. including sickness absence, maternity, disciplinary and capability issues
·Manage inductions and training for new recruits.
·Manage and maintaining the training database for training reporting, arranging refresher training and scheduling essential retraining as required.
·Offering advice, arranging and supporting disciplinary and grievance hearings within policy, producing own correspondence using standardised business formats.
·Communicating maternity/paternity policy to relevant employees, assisting with any queries and ensuring all relevant paperwork is produced.
·Participating in employee relations discussions with relevant employee groups and trade unions
·Supporting the HR Director and the wider team in the delivery of Human resource elements of organisational and cultural change activities such as restructures including assisting with preparing necessary documentation, keeping records and tracking actions, ensuring organisation units updated.
The successful candidate Must have:
·Ideally Degree or qualification in Human Resources or related field
·Must have working in a manufacturing environment
·Must have previously managed a team
This role is a key role within the business and is an excellent career opportunity. The salary on offer is £40k. Working a 37.5 per week, 08.45 - 5.15 with 1 hours lunch break. Standard pension contributions. Holiday 25 days plus 8 bank holidays. The group employs circa 250 staff.
The role is commutable from Exeter, Bristol, Taunton, Yeovil, Weston Super mare, Wells, Shepton Mallet.
