We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a school in Chiswick. This is an immediate start position, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to the education and well-being of our students right away.

Responsibilities:

Support students with special educational needs on a one-to-one or small group basis, both inside and outside the classroom.
Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans, as outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Collaborate with the teaching staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Provide academic and emotional support to students, helping them to engage with the curriculum and develop their skills.
Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their well-being, self-esteem, and independence.
Help to create and adapt learning resources and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
Monitor and track student progress, documenting observations and reporting to the teaching staff.
Work closely with the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals involved in supporting students' development.Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, preferably within an educational setting.
Knowledge and understanding of specific needs such as Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and cognitive, learning, communication, and interaction needs.
A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting students' individual needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
Resilience and the ability to adapt to the changing needs and demands of the school environment.

Hold previous experience working within SEND
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
