About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Pupil Support Worker to support Key Stage 1 pupils with SEN. You will help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, ensuring they receive the support they need to reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for KS1 pupils with SEN

  • Assist teachers with differentiated learning activities and interventions

  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development

  • Encourage engagement, positive behaviour, and confidence in learning

  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and other staff to monitor progress

  • Maintain accurate records of interventions and pupil progress

  • Foster a nurturing, safe, and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements
  • Experience working with young children, ideally KS1 or EYFS

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Empathy, patience, and a positive, nurturing approach

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil well being
