Deputy Nursery Manager – Level 3 Early Years | £32,000 | 40 Hours Per Week, All Year Round

 

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Nursery Manager to join the leadership team at their stunning nursery, set in a beautifully converted building. With fully equipped, age-specific rooms and a spacious garden for outdoor learning, this is the perfect environment for a childcare professional who is ready to step up and make a difference.

 

This full-time role (40 hours per week) offers the opportunity to combine management responsibilities with hands-on involvement, helping to lead the nursery to continued success while ensuring children receive the highest quality care and education.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) – essential.
  • Proven leadership experience in an early years setting (Deputy Manager or Room Leader level).
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • A proactive, supportive, and child-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager in the overall running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor staff to create a positive, collaborative, and professional working culture.
  • Oversee curriculum planning and ensure activities meet EYFS standards.
  • Manage staffing, ratios, and daily operations in the absence of the Nursery Manager.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are consistently met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies.
  • Contribute to staff training, professional development, and performance reviews.
