Responsibilities of this role:
- Receive and screen referrals from professionals and the public
- Assess risk and determine appropriate intervention levels
- Undertake Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners (e.g., police, health, education)
- Attend and contribute to strategy discussions and MARAC meetings
- Provide consultation and safeguarding advice to professionals
- Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports
- Escalate concerns and initiate child protection procedures
- Work within a duty rota to ensure consistent service delivery
- Apply strengths-based and relational approaches in practice
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience

- Monitor workloads, allocate cases effectively, and maintain clear systems to ensure compliance with statutory guidance and local procedures.
- Use data and performance insights to drive continuous improvement, identifying areas for development and embedding best practice within the service.
- Promote a culture of reflective practice, professional curiosity, and child-centred decision-making across the team.
