Global Service Engineer

Location: North Yorkshire (UK & International Travel Required)

Salary: Competitive + Overtime + Travel Allowances

Basic Saary of £38,000

OTE: £50,000 - £53,000

A well-established, industry-leading engineering manufacturer within the glass container sector is seeking a Service & Commissioning Engineer to join their expanding team. The business is part of a successful global group and is recognised for delivering high-quality machinery and exceptional customer support worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

This is a demanding, customer-focused role that involves domestic and international travel. The Service & Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for:

• Installing and commissioning the full product range at customer sites across the UK and overseas
• Delivering customer training
• Participating in a paid, rota-based on-call system
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical control and mechanical issues
• Providing on-site technical support and delivering an excellent customer experience
• Producing accurate service and engineering reports
• Representing the business professionally as a key point of contact for international customers

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Qualified to ONC level or higher in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering (HNC preferred)
• Experienced with electrical control systems and comfortable with mechanical aspects
• Able to work independently, under pressure, and to tight deadlines
• Flexible to travel frequently in the UK and overseas, including outside normal working hours
• PC literate (exposure to Siemens or Nidec servo motion controls advantageous)
• A strong communicator who can build rapport with customers worldwide
• In possession of a full UK driving licence
• Foreign language skills are a bonus but not essential.
