Abatec is looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer on a freelance contract to join a leading Tier 1 contractor currently working at Hinkley Point C, a multi-billion-pound major project in the southwest.

The successful candidate will have several years of experience in the civil engineering industry, capable of self-delivery and setting out

As Site Engineer you will:

* Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in setting out on heavy civil engineering schemes.

* Check drawings and quantities, ensuring the accuracy of calculations.

* Assist in the preparation of 'as-built drawings'

* Comply with the site-specific health and safety protocols to ensure any health and safety concerns are identified and reported as necessary.

Our client requires a Site Engineer with:

* Experience with Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical, and digital levels).

* Valid CSCS

* A good understating of construction health & safety protocols.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Experience in Groundworks, Earthworks, and RC works.

* Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable.

* Due to the nature of the scheme the successful engineer will be required to undergo SC clearance.

Salary/Benefits:

* £350 - £400 PAYE/umbrella
