A fantastic role has recently become available in a highly regarded specialist school in Wokingham.

This specialist school in Wokingham look after children who have shown to have social, emotional and mental health needs. Many of these children also have co-existing issues such as social, emotional and mental health needs.

The school need a learning mentor to come in and support their students in their day to day activities.

The students that attend this school are between the ages of 4 and 11. Some children have a personalised educational and health care plan and individual intervention plans designed to help them thrive. As a learning support assistant, you will be part of ensuring that they are able to complete their academic work while also helping them navigate through their emotions. You will also play a part in helping them learn functional life skills, helping them be as independent as possible.

What you can expect as a Learning Mentor:

Deliver specific interventions that have been designed with the student, their needs and goals in mind
De-escalate any meltdowns and behaviour that may occur
Help the children work through their big emotions
