Mechanical Fitter - Heavy Engineering

Location: Stourbridge
Full-time | 40 hours/week
Up to £35,000 DOE
Overtime: £20/hour

The Role

We're looking for a Mechanical Fitter to support the maintenance and performance of machinery across two busy production sites. This role involves planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and mechanical repair in a heavy industrial/foundry environment.

We welcome experienced candidates but are also open to training someone younger with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

* PPM, breakdowns, and mechanical repairs

* Fault-finding on hydraulics, pneumatics & transmissions

* Welding, fabrication & manual machining (lathe, mill, etc.)

* Support engineering improvements and continuous improvement

* Work safely and follow H&S procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

* Mechanical fitting or maintenance experience (industrial/foundry ideal)

* Good team player with flexibility and reliability

* Willingness to work overtime/weekends if needed

* Positive, proactive attitude

Desirable (Not Essential)

* Welding/fabrication

* Forklift, crane, or slinging tickets

* Siemens S7 or CAM exposure

* MEWP/First Aid/Confined Space

Training available for the right person
Salary depends on age, experience & training needs
Plenty of overtime available at £20/hour

Pay: £35,000.00 per year
