Job Title: Engineering Shift Manager (4 on 4 off - Days Only)
Salary: £56,000 - £60,000 per annum
Location: West Midlands

We're recruiting an experienced Engineering Shift Manager to drive operational performance and team leadership for a major manufacturing operation. If you're a hands-on engineering leader passionate about maximising uptime and developing talent, this role is for you.

Your Impact:

* Lead & Develop: Manage 8-10 multi-skilled engineers across 2 teams, fostering accountability and technical growth

* Optimise Performance: Prioritise PPM schedules, breakdown response, and resource allocation to minimise downtime

* Safety Champion: Ensure full compliance with HSE, HACCP, and legislative standards through robust risk management

* Continuous Improvement: Implement root cause analysis and drive lean initiatives to boost OEE

* Operational Excellence: Oversee maintenance budgets (£), CMMS documentation, and contractor management

Essential Requirements:

* Apprentice-trained/NVQ Level 3+ in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

* Proven leadership in FMCG/fast-paced manufacturing environments

* Multi-skilled background with PLC/control systems expertise

* GMP/HACCP knowledge and CMMS proficiency

* Strong people management skills with Microsoft Excel competency

* Solution-focused mindset suited to 24/7 operations
