Home Manager – Semi-Independent Living

Are you passionate about empowering young people and leading with purpose? Reed is recruiting a Home Manager for a vibrant semi-independent home in Twickenham, supporting up to 21 young people. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone energetic, creative, and committed to helping young people thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people through effective safeguarding practices and collaboration with external agencies.
  • Provide regular staff supervision, identify training needs, and deliver or coordinate coaching and development opportunities.
  • Oversee housing management operations, including income maximisation and fair referral processes.
  • Manage staff rotas and locum recruitment to ensure adequate cover within budget.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting vulnerable young people in leaving care or housing services.
  • At least 1 year of experience managing professional staff in a care or support setting.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and the legal framework for residential services for young people aged 16+.
  • In-depth knowledge of youth homelessness issues, including substance misuse and mental health.
  • Familiarity with the welfare benefits system and support resources for young people.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and risk management procedures.
  • Ability to manage conflict and build positive, respectful relationships with young people.
  • A vocational or management qualification at NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) is desirable.
