About the Role: I am recruiting for an Account Manager on behalf of my client, a global leader in freight and logistics solutions. This role is ideal for someone with experience in account management or sales within the freight forwarding or logistics industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key customer relationships, negotiating contract rates, and driving revenue growth for allocated airline partners.
This is a customer-facing role that requires regular client visits, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders and airline partners.
- Negotiate and manage contractual pricing agreements to improve market share and margins.
- Analyse customer and market intelligence to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Manage permanent booking allocations and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and submit weekly sales reports and customer call plans.
- Represent the company professionally at customer and airline events.
- Provide support to internal teams during peak periods or staff absences.
Requirements: - Proven experience in account management or sales, ideally within freight forwarding or logistics.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially driven with a focus on margin and revenue growth.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
