Role Info:

Technical Software Support Team Leader - SQL, Relational DB - Remote
£35,000 - £45,000 annual salary, DOE
4 Days Remote / Southampton Office 1 Day Per Week
Benefits: Performance based bonus + Up to 5 Days Loyalty holiday

The Technical Software Support Team Leader Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Technical Support Team Leader to join our expanding team in Southampton. Due to continued business growth we are looking for someone who has experience in a Software Support role. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to develop their skills and further their career with an innovative company.

Responsibilities:

+ Managing a small team to provide 1st and 2nd line support to a commercial application.
+ Oversee day to day operation of the support team
+ Delegate tasks and set deadlines
+ Investigate support issues via SQL and action appropriately.
+ Update and maintain SQL Server instances including setting up maintenance plans and backing up/ restoring databases.
+ Install, maintain and configure software deployments.

Required Skills:

+ Knowledge of relational databases and strong SQL skills.
+ Proven work experience as a team leader, supervisor or senior team member
+ Previous experience in application support
+ Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
+ Experience in 1st and 2nd line support
+ Background in IT from Industry or Education.
+ Excellent communication, problem solving, prioritising, multi-tasking, adapt to changing priorities

In addition to this the ideal candidate will be energetic and motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and adopt a proactive approach to work and enjoy working as part of a team.
