As the Production Manager you will lead all production activities across a large-scale manufacturing site in Swansea. You'll translate site strategy into operational excellence, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets are consistently achieved while building a high-performing, future-ready operations team.

Description
Key Responsibilities -
Lead and manage all production activities across production operations on site

Own site production performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and waste

Translate business and site strategy into clear operational plans and priorities

Lead, coach, and develop a large operations team (3 direct reports, ~165 indirect)

Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, 6S, SMED, waste reduction, and OpEx
-
Deliver productivity, quality, and safety targets in line with site KPIs
-
Support major engineering and capital investment projects

Optimise working capital through improved inventory management
-
Build succession plans, capability development, and training programs across Operations

Act as a visible leader, role-modelling safety-first behaviours at all times
Profile
Ideal Candidate Profile You'll be a confident, hands-on production leader with credibility to lead on the shop floor.
You'll bring:

5-7+ years' management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Strong background in production leadership within complex operations

Proven experience delivering Operational Excellence / CI initiatives

Excellent people leadership and stakeholder management skills

Strong commercial and financial awareness (budgets, cost control, KPIs)

Ability to make clear, timely decisions in a high-pressure environment

Engineering or Business degree preferred (Black Belt / advanced qualifications advantageous)
