HGV Fitter (Full-Time)

📍 Hybrid - North West England

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation for an experienced HGV Fitter to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional looking for long-term stability, strong earning potential, and career progression.

🕒 Working Hours

Monday to Friday
6:45am - 5:15pm (10-hour shifts)
Overtime and weekend work available as required

🔧 The Role

You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a fleet of HGVs and plant machinery, ensuring all vehicles and equipment remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.

✅ Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
Carry out scheduled servicing (e.g. brakes, oil, filters)
Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Support junior team members and apprentices
Adhere to all health & safety standards

🎯 Key Requirements

Proven experience as an HGV Fitter
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Confident using diagnostic tools and equipment
Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Full UK driving licence (HGV licence required)
Valid Driver CPC
Flexibility for overtime and call-outs
