Position Details:

* Job Title: Biology Teacher

* Location: Nelson, Lancashire

* Start Date: ASAP

* Contract Type: Full-time, until Easter

* Daily Rate: £168.80 - £215.68 per day

About the Biology Teacher Role:

* Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Biology lessons aligned to the National Curriculum

* Plan and prepare high-quality lessons tailored to a range of abilities

* Promote critical thinking, tolerance, and cultural understanding

* Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback

* Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

* Contribute to wider school activities and departmental development

The Ideal Biology Teacher Will:

* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* Have strong subject knowledge in Biology (KS3 & KS4)

* Be confident teaching across Chemsitry and Physics to KS3 & KS4 if required

* Be confident in planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons

* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills

* Be passionate about inspiring young people and promoting values of respect and diversity

* Be committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing
