Vehicle Technician
Location: Colchester
Salary: £38k - £42k Pro Rota Actual Salary £22,800 - £25,200 
Hours: Part Time 3 Weekdays 8am - 6pm NO WEEKENDS

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join a close-knit, family-run site based in Colchester. This is an excellent part-time opportunity for a qualified technician who values work-life balance, quality-focused work, and a friendly team environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. You'll be working in a supportive setting with no weekend work and no efficiency targets, allowing you to focus on doing the job right.

Supportive, Family-Run EnvironmentVehicle Technician responsibilities:
•    Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
•    Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
•    Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
•    Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
•    Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
•    Maintain a clean and organized work area.
•    Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

Vehicle Technician requirements:
•    NVQ Level 3 equivalent or higher (Level 2 and time served considered)
•    At least 1 year of experience as a vehicle technician
•    Ability to use diagnostic tools and software.
•    Strong problem-solving skills
•    Excellent communication and customer service skills
•    Valid driver's license
