Salary: £53000/annum travel

Technical Manager to be based at Langstone Park, Havant, Hampshire, full-time for approx. 6 months - then will transition to managing hard services at London sites with occasional visits back to Havant.

Technical Management of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Services

To provide a professional, quality based technical engineering service for Envirotech FM Ltd and assist in maintaining the relationship between the Company and Clients, in line with Service Level Agreements.

Activites:

Contracts - 25% of time

* Be fully conversant with the requirements and constraints within the contract.

* Inspect contractors work to monitor the performance of contracts (this may include security, maintenance, landscaping, cleaning contracts etc) and check that the agreed service level is being met

* Review contracts periodically and as necessary manage the tender process for procuring new contracts to achieve the best balance between cost and service quality.

* Develop and review procurement policy to ensure tender process is consistent and equitable

Financial Management and Reporting - 25% of time

* Manage within the financial restraints of the contract.

* Check and confirm quotations for works prior to submission to the client.

* Construct and deliver monthly reports and invoices for clients as necessary.

* Provide weekly reports to the Director detailing current works, issues and plans.

* Submit ad-hoc QA Audit sheets, conducted on works.

Site Management - 20% of time

* Anticipate potential problems and issues across the site to then be able to put in place plans to ensure no adverse effects

* Act as the first point of call for the client to look to resolve as necessary issues or concerns with facility and keep the client informed of progress

* Identify necessary work and make arrangements to complete work either by self (or by assistant) or through contractor

Business and People Development - 10% of time

* Delegate responsibilities and manage the development of the Engineering Supervisor.

* Recruit and dismiss staff when and where appropriate. Deal with staff disciplinary issues.

* Maintain relations with sub contractors.

* Interface and network with other local business

Health and Safety - 20% of time

* Adopt the Groups Health and Safety management plan and maintain health and safety standards

* Monitor compliance with Health and Safety regulations

* Carry out risk assessment and audits to ensure standards are maintained

Skills, Qualifications and Attributes:

* City & Guilds in electrical or mechanical engineering or other relevant qualification and experience

* 5 years' experience in either electrical or mechanical building services

* Experience gathered from working in a commercial office environment

* Interpersonal skills to be able to liaise with a wide range of individuals including tenants and manage their expectations

* Is diplomatic in handling interactions with others

* Is thorough and attentive in carrying out work

* Organised to ensure all planned maintenance is carried out and any issued followed up

* Desirable to have had additional training e.g. health and safety training, first aid, fire training
