About the Role

We're looking for an experienced World Buyer to take ownership of a diverse and dynamic global food category. You'll be responsible for developing a market‑leading range that excites customers, drives sales and delivers strong commercial results.

Working closely with trading, supply chain, technical and marketing teams, you'll play a key role in shaping category strategy, identifying new opportunities and building strong supplier partnerships across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Own and manage the end‑to‑end buying process for the world foods category

Develop and deliver a compelling, customer‑focused range strategy

Source new products and suppliers globally, negotiating strong commercial terms

Analyse market trends, customer insights and competitor activity

*

Manage cost prices, margins, promotional plans and category performance

*

Build strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality, availability and compliance

Work cross‑functionally with trading, technical, supply chain and marketing teams

Drive innovation and bring new ideas to market at pace

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Buyer within food retail or FMCG

Strong category knowledge in world foods, global sourcing or international ranges

Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
